About Photographers-

Photographers' main job is to try and have a meaning behind a photo taken by them. There’s different areas of photography that you can specialize in. Portrait photographers pose subjects carefully, commercial photographers take pictures of something that needs promotion, Industrial photographers take pictures of work environments, news photographers are just taking pictures for the news, and fine art photographers sell photos as artwork. Still though all these areas involve creativity, the right equipment, and skill. In Washington the median salary is $46,301/year. Some schools that offer photography programs are Seattle University, University of Oregon, Pacific Northwest College of Art, and Rochester Institute of Technology. Some places that offer on the job training are Lifetouch Preschool Photographer with Paid Training, Preschool Photographer, and Sales Photographer. There is also military training, this can last from 7-24 weeks. I find it pretty interesting because in this Multimedia class we have been taking pictures, and I have found it pretty interesting. It gives me a chance to go around and take pictures of what I think looks good. I also like the outcome of some pictures that I didn’t know I was capable of taking.
